SOLAR ACCREDITATION IN ADELAIDE
SAA Accredited Solar Installers & NETCC Approved Seller
Energy Buster is a NETCC Approved Seller and Smart Energy Council member. Our solar installations are completed by appropriately SAA-accredited installers, with eligible systems using Clean Energy Council approved products where required.
What Does an Accredited Solar Installer Mean Today?
Solar accreditation terminology in Australia has changed. If you have previously been told to choose a “CEC accredited solar installer”, the installer accreditation you should now look for is Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation.
It is also important to separate installer accreditation from the credentials of the company selling the system. SAA accreditation belongs to the individual designer or installer. A solar retailer can separately hold NETCC Approved Seller status.
Energy Buster operates as a NETCC Approved Seller, while installations are completed by appropriately SAA-accredited solar professionals.
INSTALLER ACCREDITATION
Is Energy Buster SAA Accredited?
The important distinction is that solar companies themselves are not SAA-accredited installers. SAA accreditation is held by individual solar designers and installers.
Energy Buster installers are appropriately SAA-accredited for the work requiring that accreditation.
For systems participating in Australia’s Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, the relevant designer and installer must hold the appropriate SAA accreditation for the work being completed.
Before installation, you can ask for the name and accreditation number of the accredited installer associated with your project and check their current accreditation status directly with Solar Accreditation Australia.
Is Energy Buster a NETCC Approved Seller?
Yes. Energy Buster is a New Energy Tech Consumer Code Approved Seller.
NETCC Approved Seller status relates to the business selling new energy technology rather than the accreditation of the individual electrician or solar installer.
The NETCC covers consumer protection standards across areas including advertising and sales, quotes and contracts, delivery and installation, warranties, complaints and after-sales support.
This is different from SAA accreditation, which relates to the people designing and installing the system. A customer therefore benefits from checking both the retailer and the individual installer rather than treating the two credentials as interchangeable.

How to Verify a Solar Installer Before You Buy
A reputable accreditation claim should be independently verifiable. These checks can be completed directly with the organisations responsible for each program.
Why Check Accreditation Before Choosing Solar?
Solar accreditation is not simply a logo to look for at the bottom of a website.
The person designing and installing the system, the company selling it and the products included in the proposal can each be subject to different accreditation, consumer protection or product-list requirements.
Separating those checks makes it easier to understand exactly what a company’s claims mean and what can be independently verified.
